‘Odyssey Geelong Year 11 and 12 Media Studies Film Festival’ is a yearly showcase of the talents of young film makers in Secondary School around Geelong. This year we are pleased to invite all audience members to judge the ‘Audience Favourite’.

By downloading this mobile app, as you watch, you will be able to select a ‘star’ rating out of 4 for each and every film.

•1 star - I thought it was ok
•2 stars - I liked it
•3 stars - I thought it was great
•4 stars - I loved it

Votes will be tallied at the screening conclusion and the ‘Audience Favourite’ trophy will be awarded to the winning school.

‘Odyssey Geelong Year 11 and 12 Media Studies Film Festival’ aims to establish a strong and much loved youth film festival, making a significant contribution to our regions social capital through its annual celebration of young people’s amazing talents.

Open to those schools whose curriculum includes Year 11 or 12 Media Studies, Odyssey gives a unique opportunity for young people to show their film, created during current studies, that would not otherwise been seen by the community.

Odyssey Film Festival is organised by the City of Greater Geelong Youth Development Unit in conjunction with Media Studies Teacher, (Lara Secondary College) Trent Edwards and Secondary schools in Geelong, who recognised that the huge amount of talent in Geelong, was not being highlighted as it should be.

Odyssey supports a positive image of young people in our community.
